Whether he's sober or totally drunk, he seems so... real, genuine !
God ! It's hard to know Geoffrey's so kind in real and play so well this mean character ! (But he played so many other vilains !)

I love watching him in POTC, in this movie, as Price in HoHH (damn sexy there!), Quills... he is such a terrific actor and you can see it in the wide variety of character he has portrayed through all these years and, yeah! I think due we know how kind this man is, it's always a real pleasure watch him using all his talent to play vilains, to show a 'darker' side as an actor and playing a character.. I hope this make any sense, I do not know how to explain it better.

And one says that actors love to play dark characters, because they "help" them to get their own dark side out of themselves ! ;)

That's right it must be great to play bad guys (or bad girls) and remaining a kind person ! ;)

Yes, indeed Harold Fingleton was horrible! I couldn't quite understand why he was so nasty to his family. "Swimming Upstream" was a great movie, but alittle depressing. The one good thing I see out of Harold is he gets back at his wife (Judy Davis), who was so horrible to poor Zachary Welch as Joan in "Children of the Revolution." What good karma!! ;)

Wow, what a suitable song for this entry. It must've been how Tony Fingleton felt. Moving on from a troubled past.

I hope your weekend is going well!! My Saturday was nice, I wasn't too busy like I was last weekend doing errands. I'm now relaxing for the rest of the evening and trying to make up my mind which DVD to watch.

I really think Harold was a depressed man, without any "psychic" help...
He had a miserable childhood, his dreams of being a famous sportman have been "dead"...
Of course, he's got a charming spouse and lovely children, (except the oldest one, who is like him), but as nobody "taught" him how to enjoy life and its little joys, he just can't deal with... and doesn't know how to appreciate them.

The good thing in the film is when he want to become sober... but he failed, unfortunatly... :/

I also love the way how "karma" as you say so well is in this film for the 2 characters played by Geoffrey and Judy Davis ! XD
